Giving Thanks

Giving Thanks

Thanksgiving is a time to reflect and express gratitude for those things we are so fortunately blessed with. Recently, I was speaking with someone who said they couldn’t think of much to be thankful for this year. Rather than argue the point, I chose to just tell all the things that I felt so graciously blessed with.
Regardless of the curve balls life has thrown you, we all have things to be thankful for. I suggest you consider making a “Grateful Journal” and make note of those things as they come to mind. Below is an exert from my personal journal as well as this year’s Thankgiving list.  I am sharing this with you in hopes that it stimulates your creative juices to make your own grateful list to reflect on, change those things that you feel need changing and commit to making 2017 your best year ever. Remember, it’s not how you start that counts, it’s how you finish. Stay focued and finish strong! Happy Thanksgiving!

           I am most thankful for:
  • A loving God who accepts me just as I am.
  • An amazing wife, best friend, lover, and life partner that loves me for who I am in spite of my shortcomings.
  • My children, which are a true example of God’s miracles on this earth.
  • The most wonderful friends a man could ever be blessed with. If you were to judge a person by his friends, I would be nominated King.
  • My health and the burning desire to strive to be all I am capable of becoming.
  • The opportunities and learning experiences that abound me to make a difference in my life and in the lives of those that I love. I am grateful for chiropractic care and the opportunity to spread the hope of wellness and health into the lives of others through our business.
  • My realization that positive change begins and ends within me and the realization that I am fully responsible for the actions and responses of my life.
  • The acceptance that, although life is not a bed of roses, it can be a garden of opportunity depending on how we look at it.
  • Home and all that it encompasses regardless of where that may be.
  • Life. Sweet, precious life. This truly is the greatest gift that was ever given us. Without it, we would never have the opportunity to experience love, laughter, sadness, the miracle of a newborn child or the ability to face giants against overwhelming odds by depending on our faith for the strength and wisdom to prevail.
